Magnificent historic folk houses with thatched roofs from the Edo and Meiji periods have been relocated here, housing various galleries where you can learn about Kaga's rich traditional culture and crafts. Visitors can try their hand at a wide variety of hands-on workshops, including Wajima lacquerware, Kutani ware, gold leaf, Yuzen silk dyeing, Japanese papermaking, and music box making (separate fees apply for workshops).

Please present your admission ticket at the main entrance of Kaga Traditional Crafts Village Yunokuni no Mori. Final admission is at 16:00.
■ Exploring the Village & Galleries
Feel free to stroll around our 130,000-tsubo (approx. 430,000 $m^2$) hilly grounds, featuring preserved thatched-roof traditional houses and various craft galleries. Immerse yourself in the rich traditional crafts and culture of the Kaga region.
■ Traditional Craft Experiences (Optional / Separate fee required)
Choose from a wide variety of hands-on activities that spark your interest, including chinkin (gold inlay), painting, gold leaf application, stencil dyeing, and handmade washi papermaking.
Please sign up directly at each gallery after entering the village.
The final registration for craft experiences is 15:00. (Registration for Wajima lacquerware, Yuzen silk dyeing, Kutani ware, Yamanaka lacquerware, gold leaf, washi paper, and music boxes is available until 15:30).
